Armstrong Red is a Freeman Maple cultivar with a narrow, upright growth pattern. Tiny red flower clusters bloom in early spring, and give way to medium-green leaves with silvery undersides. These leaves turn an attractive red-orange in the fall. Bark is silvery-gray when young.
